Internal Audit

Our client is a leading, stable and rapidly expanding lower mainland  company. An excellent position has arisen for a motivated CPA  to assume a position in their Internal Audit area.  You can come straight from public practice or from industry. Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, the successful candidate will conduct operational audits using Generally Accepted Audit Standards, Investigations and Special Projects.  You will ensure compliance with policies and procedures, industry standards, applicable laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.  You will identify areas of control issues and risks in audit findings. You should be able to make recommendations for improvement based on best practices, minimizing exposures and considering cost benefits. The successful candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable in dealing with senior level management in a clear and concise manner.  You should be willing to travel in this position.
