CFO

Our client is a well established, service based organization that has a very recognizable name and history in the lower mainland- over many decades. They have numerous locations in BC and Alberta and have partnership relationships all over Canada, the US and worldwide. An excellent position is available for a CFO to function as an integral part of the management team and work closely with the CEO and COO. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of the organization and function as the key financial advisor, evaluating and assisting with strategic direction. You will create, coordinate and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, and conservation of assets. You will oversee the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses and information reports. You will establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards. Duties include interacting with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, through to reports and recommendations. You will develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems. It will be important that you analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. You will assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the company’s long term strategy. You will establish and implement short and long range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures. Duties include optimizing banking relationships and representing the company externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies and the general public. Candidates should be a designated CPA with 10 years of experience in a senior level financial position. You should have experience in strategic planning/execution, knowledge of cost control principles and GAAP and financial/accounting reporting systems.
