VP Finance

Our client has been a driving force in their industry for almost 2 decades. They are a world leader in their field and are poised for some impressive growth in the next 2 years. An excellent position has arisen for a motivated CPA to assume an exciting VP Finance position in their office. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of financial management including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.  You will supervise a motivated Controller who, in turn, supervises 3 staff in managing all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, inventory accounting and revenue recognition. You and your team will coordinate and prepare budget and financial forecasts, report variances, prepare timely monthly financial statements,  investigate key variances, undertake regulatory reporting and oversee month-end and year-end close processes. You will ensure adequate controls over financial transactions and financial reporting and manage and comply with local, provincial and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. You will work with their ERP system and provide general assistance where required. Candidates should have proven senior level experience.
