Senior Accountant

Our client is a highly prestigious consulting firm that has built an excellent reputation for providing quality work to their clients. Their business plan consists of offering companies, on an outsourced basis, timely and informed financial reporting and management services, together with the necessary accounting and administrative infrastructure needed to comply with the various regulatory reporting requirements that exist in the public company forum. Our client requires a motivated CPA to assume a key position in their firm as Senior Accountant. This position has a technical element as you will analyze and work with complex transactions and prepare consolidated schedules for multi-subsidiary companies with differing functional currencies. Our client would need you to research accounting disclosure requirements if and as required for client transactions and make recommendations to senior staff. You would work on analyzing the accounts of new clients or target companies in RTO/acquisition transactions and identify the key information needs and accounting issues to be resolved. You would also complete initial drafts of quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements, together with accompanying MD&A’s for reviews. You would also supervise staff where required. Candidates should have previous experience working with public companies or, alternatively, proven experience in public practice.
