Accounting Manager

Our client is a publicly traded mining company with its head office located in downtown Vancouver. An excellent position is available for a motivated CPA to function as an Accounting Manager. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and supervises a small corporate office team. The successful candidate will provide leadership and hands-on support in a wide variety of financial services and activities, including internal and external financial reporting and coordinating year-end audits. The incumbent will be able to plan and direct accounting activities and provide timely financial information. Specifically, you will assist the team in preparing quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&As, coordinate year-end audits and other reviews, oversee cash flow, statutory and tax filing documentation, prepare budgets and monthly management reports, implement and monitor internal controls and mange a team of accounting staff. You should have previous public company financial reporting experience, demonstrated supervisory skills, possess a high level of technical competence and have excellent communication skills.
