Chief Accountant

Our client is a well established and successful financial services organization with its head office located in downtown Vancouver.  As a result, a newly created position has arisen for an Chief Accountant. The successful candidate will report directly to the Controller and supervise three staff. The Chief Accountant is responsible for the direct management of the accounting function for the accounting department including monthly processing, banking management, financial and management reporting, decision support, forecasting and budgeting, commodity taxes, financial systems, reconciliations and daily balancing processes. You will also be involved with day to day accounting responsibilities, including preparation of reports, and other duties including the supervision of the three accounting staff.
