Our client is a well established company that is in the construction/service area. An excellent position has arisen for a motivated CPA to become a part of their team and function as the Controller. You will supervise a small staff and act as an integral part of the management team. You will be responsible for monthly and annual financial reporting and assisting operations personnel with financial assistance. You will monitor cash flow and participate in the budgeting processes – including monitoring actual to budget. You will ensue that the company meets its obligations re statutory responsibilities such as tax returns, tax planning, regulatory remittances, etc. You will ensure that proper procedures are in place to monitor project costs and ensure that variances from actual to budget are recognized quickly and communicated to project managers. Our client is expanding rapidly in the lower mainland so only candidates capable of career growth will be considered.
