Our client is a well established company that is experiencing growth and is interested in a motivated CA/CGA/CMA to function as a Director of Finance in their dynamic organization. Functioning as an integral part of the management team, the successful candidate will oversee the accounting department and provide leadership and support in the coordination and direction of the financial affairs of the company. You will be accountable to the President for the strategy, operational accountability, development and implementation of policies, programs and standards governing the accounting department and the company’s financial reporting. This will include preparation of annual budgets, preparing forecasts, cash flow analysis, month end reporting, auditor liaison, tax planning, staff supervision etc. This position also requires that you liaise with operations managers and other employees to assist with financial issues that arise. The person assuming this role should have previous experience working in a retail environment. You should also have a good understanding of computerized systems.
