Financial Reporting Manager

Our client is a large public company with significant operations around the lower mainland. Due to continuing impressive growth, the need has arisen for a motivated individual to assume the position of Financial Reporting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying proposed accounting changes and issues affecting the Company’s financial reporting. The Financial Reporting Manager is required to research and document necessary changes, provide management supervision for special accounting-related projects and act as a back-up resource in the department. As well, the Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for preparation of the audited financial statements for the Company’s foreign subsidiaries. You will also assist the external auditors and coordinate the quarterly reviews and annual audit, undertake a detailed assessment of the impact of accounting changes or unusual transactions on other areas of the Company and provide back up to the Controller and other managers in the department. Candidates should have an excellent understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements,  a CPA designation and exceptional attention to detail.
