Chief Accountant

Our client is a prominent company, with its head office located in the lower mainland. Due to impressive growth, an excellent, newly created position has arisen for a motivated, recently designated CPA to report directly to the Director of Finance and assume an Chief Accountant position. Our client is very profitable and undergoing significant expansion. Only candidates that are desirous of career progression will be considered. The Chief Accountant will assist the Director of Finance with the day to day responsibilities and tasks of the Accounting/Finance department. You will perform daily accounting processes including journal entries, account reconciliations etc. You will liaise with project accountants to ensure accurate job costing throughout all Canadian operations.  Establishing internal controls and systems to ensure accuracy and security of financial records and compiling ad-hoc reports will be part of your position. You will conduct non routine accruals as well as review or prepare account reconciliations. You will assist with monthly job cost reviews and budget variance analysis. Lastly, you will prepare month-end management reports, actual vs. Budget analysis and provide support for the completion of year-end reporting procedures and annual audit.  Our client offers an excellent remuneration package, including bonus.
