Accounting Supervisor

Our client is a rapidly expanding company that is developing specialized products and software/hardware solutions for tech savvy, progressive companies in Canada and the US. This company is expanding rapidly with the result that a new position has been created for a motivated CPA to function as an accounting Superviror – reporting directly to the Director of Finance. Our client will consider candidates in industry or public practice. The Accounting Supervisor will need to take charge and manage all financial tasks (with the help of 2 junior staff), including budgeting, cash management and accounting. Specifically, you will develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with GAAP.  You will analyze financial data and develop and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. You will maintain internal controls and ensure that statutory obligations are met. You will oversee cash management, reconcile accounts, compare actual results to budget and assist with SRTC documentation.  The successful candidate should have proven accounting and financial experience and knowledge of GAAP, strong analytical/problem solving skills, be extremely comfortable in a computerized environment and have excellent interpersonal skills.
