Director of Finance

Our client has been in the construction business for many decades and has its head office centrally located in the heart of the lower mainland. They are extremely profitable and have experienced significant expansion over their impressive tenure. An excellent position is available for a motivated CPA to assume a senior level position as Director of Finance. As the top financial person in the organization, the Director of Finance will be accountable for the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the company. You will assist the President in monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans and financial and tax strategies. You will manage capital requests and the budgeting processes. You will develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction and participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team. You will oversee employee benefit plans, the issuance of financial information and understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile. You will ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements, and maintain relations with external auditors. You will monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
