Controller

Our client is a well established company that operates in the lower mainland. Their current Controller has announced that he is moving on and the company requires a motivated replacement. Our client requires a Controller that is comfortable working in a hands on role. The company realizes that the successful candidate may not have all the job skills necessary for the position on“Day 1” but will learn and evolve into the role as they gain experience. This position will require that you report directly to the Owners. Duties are varied and include overseeing the full cycle accounting process and the preparation of financial statements for a number of companies in their dynamic group. You will manage inventory counts, assist in the development of the annual operating budget and assist in developing accounting processes and controls. You will be involved in the cash and treasury functions including monitoring cash balances and managing inter company transactions.  You will adopt other duties as you gain more experience and become more comfortable in the role.
