Chief Accountant

Our client is a well-known and respected construction company. They have had their business for many decades and are extremely well established. An excellent position has arisen for a motivated CPA to function as a Chief Accountant and report directly to the Management Team. The successful candidate will supervise a small team and be responsible for overseeing the financial affairs of this vibrant business. You will be an integral part of the financial team and provide financial advice to the team. You will also be responsible for the preparation of the financial statements and reports and coordinate the activities of your staff. Job costing will be under your direction as well as assessing internal controls, liaising with outside auditors, report preparation, ensuring the various GL and bank reconciliations are prepared etc.  It is also important that the successful candidate have a good understanding of computerized systems and be goal oriented.
