Senior Accountant

Our client is a very well established, medium sized distribution company which has been in business for many decades. An excellent Senior Accountant position exists for a motivated CPA that enjoys working in a very stable organization. The Senior Accountant provides leadership and coordination of Company financial reporting and ensures accounting procedures conform to GAAP.  Specifically, you will prepare, direct and coordinate Company financial reporting, prepare draft financial statements, complete year end working papers for the auditors/assist with the yearend audit, provide guidance, assistance and support for the periodic physical inventory counts, review monthly GL reconciliations including all major balance sheet accounts (A/R,A/P, fixed assets, prepaids , review financial statements for various holding companies, review monthly sales tax returns and other duties and responsibilities as assigned. You will be expected to guide and mentor the activities of several staff members.
